Fr. Theodore Poteres

Fr. Ted was born on March 3rd, 1955 to Othon and Liberty Poteres and has been serving in the priesthood for 38 years. Fr. Ted has served as the Associate Pastor of St. Demetrios Church in Elmhurst, IL and parish priest at Ss. Constantine and Helen in Rockford, IL before coming to the Cathedral in May of 1997. Fr. Ted has two children (Nicholas and Toni) and six beautiful grandchildren (Eleni, Luke, Teddy, Theo, Alexander, and Apostolos).

Fr. Dimitri was born to Panagiotis and Christine Burikas on August 11th, 1987. Fr. Dimitri graduated seminary in May of 2012 and was ordained to the priesthood on August 23rd, 2015 at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago. On February 1st, 2020, Fr. Dimitri entered into a new chapter in his priestly ministry as the Associate Pastor at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Merrillville, IN. In June of 2013, Fr. Dimitri and Pres. Danielle were married and began their family life. Father and Presvytera also have two sons, Panagiotis and Haralambos.
