Sunday School - posted on August 18, 2014
I’d like to welcome you to our Cathedral’s Sunday School Program. My name is Aleka Dovellos, and I am the Sunday School director this year. If you have any questions throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to email me or stop in the Sunday School office. We have a wonderful team of teachers this year who are all working very hard to teach your children about our Orthodox faith. We have 97 registered students this school year. Below, you will find a list of our teachers. They all work so hard to prepare valuable and meaningful lessons for your children each week. Please bring your children as often as you can. We love seeing their smiling faces each week!

REGISTRATION:  Registration fee for every child, which includes texts, materials and retreats, is $25 per child. Children ages 3 years old as of August 1st through senior year high school may be registered.  Classes are held September through May.  Sunday School begins every Sunday with the Divine Liturgy at 9:00 am, followed by class time from 10:15 – 11:00 am.

The purpose of Sunday School is to cultivate within our children the Orthodox Christian way of life.  Throughout the year, our Sunday School is teaching our children not only the facts of our Orthodox Faith, but also the practical side of living it.  Each month our children and teachers are involved in various service projects to assist those less fortunate thus stressing the teachings of our Lord to “love one another.”
